Ute Gunsenheimer - WP6

Ute Gunsenheimer is Head of External Relations at ESS and is the co-leader of BrightnESS WP6. 

- The key objectives of WP6 has been to gain the trust of future ESS users from science and industry, expanding the ESS community and network, and to communicate and disseminate the results, with the assistance of our Hub Managers.

The results of BrightnESS WP6 includes publishing the Neutrons Users in Europe Survey, where 15 European neutron sources have provided data, resulting in this comprehensive report of the European neutron landscape. Through extensive outreach initiatives and visits to the ESS within the framework of BrightnESS, Spain and the UK have become founding members of ESS. The ESS ILO network has continuously developed throughout the period of BrightnESS, and several industry initiatives in the countries of the BrightnESS partner institutes have been supported – not least the joint European event, the Big Science Business Forum. By defining and activating a number of Hub Managers in the BrightnESS regions, we have communicated the progress and results of the project through articles, press contact, social media outreach, events and video material.
