Teddy Kozielewski
After completing his studies in nuclear technology and business engineering, Teddy Kozielewski joined the Research Centre Jülich (FZJ) in 1998 as a project engineer. During his work at FZJ, he was responsible for the development, construction, commissioning and operation of various neutron spectrometers. After completing the construction and the installation of the Neutron Spin Echo Spectrometer at SNS in Oak Ridge and a 5 year stay at ORNL, Teddy returned to FZJ in 2013 and was involved in the redesign of the Spin Echo Spectrometer at the FRM-II.
- My current position includes both engineering and project management, which is a perfect combination and a dream job for me. Besides my work as a project engineer for two ESS projects, SKADI and T-REX, I am also involved in project management and coordination of work at FZJ. My daily work includes identifying, reporting and solving problems related to project management.
Apart from the very demanding task of developing the best technical solutions for the instrumentation of the ESS, I am very impressed by the way the various European project partners work together to achieve this goal in BrightnESS.
The biggest challenge for me is to work together with the project partners in such a way that the agreed milestones and results are achieved as scheduled and within budget, while still keeping everyone happy at work.
I expect that the cooperation and networking within BrightESS will lead to new technical solutions and even new technologies. The jointly developed solutions and the active exchange of information will also significantly expand the competencies of all project partners involved.
