Juliette Forneris
Juliette Forneris has worked as Cluster Manager of BigScience.dk since 2010. Before this, she worked for a couple of Danish tech companies with project sales, business development and project fundraising. Juliette is educated in France (undergrad and masters) and has a Ph.D. in Geology from Arizona State University (US). In BrightnESS, Juliette is part of Work Package 6 and she is highly experienced with industry outreach, not least due to her role as the Danish ILO for CERN and ESO.
- Our work in BigScience.dk involves a lot of contact with several Big Science organisations, including ESS. DTI was involved as consortium partner in a Horizon 2020 project proposal driven by ESS, which unfortunately was not funded. When the BrightnESS proposal was put together, we were of course ready to participate again and this time with success.
What I like the most about BrightnESS, is that it is a great opportunity for me to follow the ESS project from the inside and get a broader network both within ESS and with the partner institutes, which are represented in BrightnESS.
A key challenge in WP6 is to ensure that the many activities and results of BrightnESS are getting the right exposure. Through a regularly updated communication plan and collaborative meetings with the WP6 Hub managers, we have a detailed overview of the upcoming activities and how to communicate them.
In supporting some of the key technical and administrative challenges of the ESS construction phase, BrightnESS contributes to the success of ESS, thereby insuring the future of neutron research in Europe and beyond.
