Jazmin Barreto Hamneby
Jazmin Barreto Hamneby was raised in Mexico and her educational background includes a Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration and completing her post-graduate studies in USA with a Master’s degree in Business Economics. Currently, Jazmin is carrying out additional training in Sweden.
Jazmin has worked as project manager and administrator in the life science, service and manufacturing sectors with solid business relations management experience at the international level; Mexico, Switzerland, USA and now at ESS in Sweden.
- I joined ESS and the BrightnESS project in 2016 collaborating in the In-Kind contributions and collaboration WP 2. My daily work includes the close interaction with internal and external stakeholders and providing administrative support to the BrightnESS work package 2 management team. I am mostly involved in activities supporting and developing the In-Kind partner relations, collaborating in reporting project activities, consolidating data, coordinating hub activities for the work package and managing, planning and organizing workshops, committee meetings and trainings.
I like the international aspect of BrightnESS and to see how all these countries/partners interact and collaborate with one another, each of them with their different working styles, knowledge and experience coming together looking to achieve the same goal.
In WP2, the goal is to get all the pieces in place for the project to be delivered on time and according to schedule so that is definitely our largest challenge with so many partners and different In-Kind deliveries.
The contribution that BrightnESS is bringing to ESS as the largest neutron facility is not only for the investigation of the grand challenges, to improve and develop new solutions for health, the environment, clean energy, IT and more but it will also bring unique possibilities and opportunities in the preparation and education of young academics so that their research may take full advantage of the world-leading Big Science facility on their doorstep.
