3rd BrightnESS Best Practice Workshop: In-Kind Installations
The 3rd BrightnESS Best Practice Workshop tok place on 19-20 June in Lund, Sweden.
The ESS has started the installation phase of In-Kind contributions. The Ion Source has recently been installed in the tunnel and has provided valuable experience for future installation activities. The coming 18 months will see the culmination of years of work at many partner institutes as In-Kind contributions are shipped to the ESS construction site for installation. The installation phase at the ESS will be an important and intensely satisfying period of time for all concerned. It requires carefully planned actions, access to detailed information and configuration control, local support to partners and adhering to health and safety regulations.
