European Spallation Source Connects with Physicists in South Africa
The scientific program of the conference, which took place between 3-7 July 2017, was divided into nine tracks. Each of the tracks focused on a handful of topics related to a specific area of physics such as nuclear, particle and radiation physics, physics of condensed matter and materials, applied physics, photonics etc.
In his plenary talk on 4 July, Schreyer briefed the audience about the future scientific program at ESS and shared perspectives on the 21st century opportunities for science using neutrons. His presentation attracted approximately 250 participants and triggered fruitful discussions.
