NCFE and Interfaces Meeting at INFN-LNS

BrightnESS Partners have been working together on enhancing the capability of different teams at ESS, CEA, ESS Bilbao and INFN in order to fulfil the scope of objectives during this phase of Normal Conducting Front End (NCFE) construction.

The periodical NCFE was held at INFN-LNS on 17-18 January 2017 with a focus on Interfaces revision under the auspices of BrightnESS. A number of relevant issues was highlighted by the BrightnESS teams attending the meeting. The QA/QC objectives in particular have received a lot of attention in the weeks after the meeting. The involved teams are working with the individual work units to clarify the expected detailed deliveries, as the in-kind contracts only setup the environment in which the work of Partner Institutes is performed. This is going to be done by means of visits at RATS and meetings at the Partner Institutes.

ESS, CEA, ESS Bilbao and INFN are all involved in BrightnESS Work Package 2 Strengthening In-Kind Contribution and Coordination.
