In-Kind Field Coordinators Commence Cooperation across Organisations
LUND - Strengthening the In-kind contribution and coordination to ESS is the overall purpose of Work Package Two of BrightnESS. The main objectives are to maximise the possibility for ESS and In-kind partner organisations to deliver value during the Construction Phase through In-kind Contributions (IKC) according to the ESS IKC Process as well as to minimise and mitigate the risks associated with those contributions. This includes the creation of an IKC network of Regional Hubs.
“The purpose of the meeting was to initiate the process of working together across the In-kind contributors. The participants got to know each other and commence work on group actions,” says Carlo Bocchetta, BrightnESS Work Package Two Leader.
By establishing regional actors to monitor and maintain technical progress relative to schedule on IKC during the periods of peak project activity, the idea is to maximise the overall ‘earned value’ of the ESS IKC work packages and increase knowledge sharing across the partner organisations.
“Now we will move on to the next steps of the cooperation, which will include training sessions where the Field Coordinators will meet with the In-kind coordinators at ESS,” says Carlo Bocchetta.
