Science communicators exchange ideas and knowledge
On May 30-31, the bi-annual PARI workshop took place at the European Southern Observatory in Garching, near Munch, Germany. The recurring event brings together science communicators from all over Europe as well as locations such as Japan and Hawaii.
PARI stands for Public Awareness of Research Infrastructures and focuses on communicating the importance of science to society. The programme included four key notes talks as well as a wide range of presentations and panel discussions about topics such as social media, crisis communication, raising funds, outreach to schools and public audiences, to name a few.
The BrightnESS communicators of Work Package six represented the project with participants from ESS, ESS Bilbao, the Budapest Neutron Centre and the Danish Technological Institute.
