Presenting cross-regional research and innovation at STI Hanoi

The research facilities of Southern Sweden and Greater Copenhagen were promoted at the annual STI conference.

On May 10-12 2016, the third edition of the ASEAN-EU Science, Technology and Innovation days (STI) took place in Hanoi, Vietnam. During the conference, Invest in Skåne was one of the organisers of a workshop on “Large-scale analytical research facilities as catalysts for innovation and R&D and opportunities for EU-ASEAN cooperation”.

Axel Steuwer, Business Development Manager within Materials Science at Invest in Skåne, presented cases on the research infrastructures, innovation ecosystems and STI cooperation opportunities for the regions of Hamburg, Greater Copenhagen and Region Skåne. He further gave a presentation of the ESS project to the participants.

The workshop session was financed by the Interreg project, ÖKS Max IV ESS: Cross Border Science and Society.

The STI Days bring together researchers, scientists, science policy makers, innovative companies, and other stakeholders from ASEAN and EU countries for a yearly three-day conference on science, technology, and innovation issues and bi-regional co-operation in these fields.
