Network meeting for magnetism held at MAX IV

The participants discussed topics such as electronic phenomena ranging from quantum criticality, magnetic monopoles, ferromagnetic nanocrystals to electron holographic measurements of magnetic monopole and toroidal moments.

A result of this meeting is that it is clear that the community is scientifically excellent with a broad range of expertise. However, it is also clear that many groups were unaware of others in the region studying electronic phenomena. The meeting will enable further collaborations and more importantly develop a unified voice to strengthen the regions capacity to study electronic phenomena at large scale facilities, such as MAXIV and ESS. It was deemed important to continue this initiative with periodic meetings as the ESS and MAXIV develop over the next few years.
