ESS meets UK Industry
Once constructed, in Lund, Sweden, the ESS will be a multi-disciplinary research centre based on the world’s most powerful neutron source. The UK is a partner in the construction, alongside 15 other European countries, and has committed significant funding for construction.
The event at STFC’s Rutherford Appleton Laboratory (RAL) was well attended with over 100 delegates from ~75 organisations present. In the morning, delegates heard a series of presentations from key ESS and STFC staff introducing the ESS and the UK’s involvement, and detailing the opportunities for UK industry to get involved.
