ESS at EIROforum Innovation meeting

ESTEC – On 15 March, ESS Technology Transfer Officer Jonas Andersson participated, as guest, in the EIROforum meeting on Innovation Management and Knowledge/Technology Transfer (IMKTT) held at ESTEC, ESA’s European Space Research and Technology Centre.

The EIROforum is a collaboration and co-ordination council of eight leading European Organizations (CERN, EUROfusion, EMBL, ESA, ESO, ESRF, European XFEL and ILL) aiming at combining resources, facilities and expertise to support European science in reaching its full potential.

The IMKTT Working Group explores best practices in technology transfer and innovation to translate cutting-edge scientific and technology research into innovative applications.

In this session, TT and Innovation experts discussed policies in the management of spin-off companies, definition and assessment of the socio-economic impact of big science projects and other aspects related to knowledge transfer from research infrastructures to other sectors of society.
