Danish TechnologicaI Institute visits ESS
On Thursday April 12, a study group from the Danish Technological Institute (DTI) visited the ESS Site, for a meeting with Senior Advisor Sindra Petersson and Head of Scientific Activities Division, Arno Hiess to discuss best practice in terms of reaching out to potential industry users.
DTI is currently working on a national project to create awareness about the potential of using neutron sources and synchrotrons for industry, including creating industry cases and best practice. Therefore, meetings with the facilities are very important. The day finished with a Site tour and the following day, the group visited MAX IV in Lund.
Part of the work in the national project is to create industry best practice cases. Currently, DTI has worked with several Danish companies from the food, chemistry and renewable energy industries in testing and analysing their materials, to create even better products.
