Lambert van Eijck is the elected European Neutron Scattering Association (ENSA) Vice-Chair since January 2019. He is assistant professor at the Neutron and Positron Methods in Materials section of the Faculty of Applied Sciences of the Delft University of Technology (TU Delft). After an instrument scientist position on the backscattering instruments of the Institut Laue-Langevin, he returned to Delft to develop novel instrumentation for the research reactor of the TU Delft. Since recently, the focus of his research is in applying neutron-based techniques in cultural heritage science. Via ENSA, the Europe-wide association that represents scientific users, Lambert is involved in the Work Package 2: A Strategy to deliver neutrons for Europe and beyond, defining and reporting the needs of the user communities.
