Jimmy Andersen

Jimmy Andersen joined the ESS Strategy Directorate as Industry and Innovation Work Package Leader for BrightnESS2 in October 2019.

Previously, Jimmy established the Danish industry portal LINX (Linking Industry to Neutrons and X-Rays), a collaborative innovation platform developed as a feeder for ESS.

With an engineering degree in electronics and computer science, Jimmy got into project management early, working in the space, defence and aviation industries. After a decade of working in operational and tactical management, he took on a number of strategic leadership roles as CEO for innovative high-tech companies working very closely with science. Jimmy is Danish and lives in Denmark, but has spent 13 years working in Turkey, Germany and Switzerland.
