Grethe Vestergaard Jensen
Grethe Vestergaard Jensen is seconded to ESS from the Danish Technological Institute, where she is a senior specialist working on the development of services for industry based on synchrotron and neutron techniques since 2019. Under the BrightnESS² project, she is involved in the work of identifying procedures required for industry access to ESS, including access schemes, services, and outreach (WP4).
Grethe has a background in scattering methods for soft materials, colloids, and proteins. She received a PhD in nanoscience from Aarhus University in 2011, followed by a postdoc at the University of Copenhagen. Here, she was also involved in a series of industry collaborations and case studies through the project NXUS. In 2016 she moved on to a position as a SANS scientist at the NIST Center for Neutron Research, engaged with research projects, user support, and instrument commissioning.
