Gaweł Madejowski
Gaweł Madejowski works in the MARIA Reactor Research Division at National Centre for Nuclear Research (NCBJ) in Poland. He is involved in physical and engineering calculations and studies, safety analyses, materials modification, reactor measurements as well as irradiation planning and preparing. Gaweł graduated with MSc diploma in Nuclear Power Engineering at Warsaw University of Technology and additionally received a BSc diploma at Nuclear Energy and Chemistry course held by Chemistry and Physics faculties at University of Warsaw. Currently he does a Ph.D. studies at Institute of Heat Engineering (WUT), exploring a field of delayed photoneutrons in MARIA reactor core.
In his interdisciplinary work, Gaweł merges both experimental and theoretical approach, making use of neutron activation dosimetry, gamma spectroscopy, nuclear physics, neutronics, thermodynamics, heat transfer, nuclear reactor kinetics, particles transport modelling and mechanical engineering. He is also involved in medical radionuclides production and European IFMIF-DONES project – a fusion oriented irradiation facility.
On behalf of NCBJ, BrightnESS² contributor, Gaweł works for development of high-flux neutron irradiation possibilities and availability as well as support an ESS project with technical innovation and constructing potential.
